Examination of teachers' use of metacognitive strategies in Supporting Reading Comprehension Skills of Children with Learning Disabilities

Metacognitive reading strategies are to facilitate the process of students, give them chance monitor and control process, regulate process. While many typically developing children can gain these cognitive processes, with learning disabilities (LD) have difficulties. They also more limited memory than children. It is an effective method in making it easier for difficulties remember information text thus increasing their understanding. The most people teaching metacognitive teachers. Teachers' knowledge level affects comprehension success students LD (Oslund et al., 2016). Therefore, this study, aimed examine views teachers on improve LD. “Metacognitive Reading Strategy Usage Scale” (MRSUS) developed by Özen Durkan (2016) was used evaluate that comprehension. MRSUS a tool evaluates set use before, during, after reading. scores 204 participating study were examined. Got results; presented findings section.
